Lavender reduces stress, helps you sleep, and boosts mood. Borage flower is a mild sedative and helps improve mood. Saint John’s Wort is known for treating seasonal effective mood disorder and anxiety. Chamomile contains antioxidants that are associated with better immune function and lower rates of mood disorders.
Ginseng boosts your mental well-being. Rose petals and rose hips both have calming qualities. Ginko is well known for it’s use in improving mood and it’s being studied as a natural alternative to antidepressant medications. Passion Flower has been used to treat anxiety and as a sleep aid. Damiana has been used to treat mood swings and lethargy. Sweet Woodruff is known to treat nervous irritability plus it makes this tincture taste better. And lastly hibiscus is beneficial for mood swings and hypertension.
Borage flowers are small, colorful, and quite difficult to source. That’s why we grow them ourselves. Once mature, we hand harvest thousands of flowers each day during the growing season and carefully dry them for use in our herbal products. The borage flower is rarely sold by any herbal companies due to the high degree of labor necessary to produce any volume, but to us, it’s a labor of love and one of our signature items.
